Nail Files makes splash on reality show scenePosted: Updated:
PHOENIX – Katie Cazorla runs one of the hottest nail salons in Los Angeles. With a party room upstairs and a bar serving cocktails, The Painted Nail is not your traditional nail salon. Now Cazorla and her fabulous salon are at the center of a new reality show on the TV Guide Network.
She stopped by 3TV to chat with Kaley O’Kelley and Tara Hitchcock about her reality TV adventure. Debuting two weeks ago, "Nail Files" picked up the largest audience in the network’s history – nearly 1.2 million viewers.
“I thought the only people who were going to watch it was my mom and maybe some of my friends,” Cazorla said. She’s understandably thrilled with the show’s early success.
The draw isn’t just the celebrities who frequent The Painted Nail. It’s also Cazorla herself.
“I never censor myself, which is probably like a horrible thing, but I’m sure it’s great for TV,” she said with a sassy laugh.
While she tactfully refused to name names when it comes to stars in desperate need of her nail expertise, she did say Barbara Streisand has the most beautiful nails she’s ever seen.
“Her nails are flawless,” she said.
Cazorla and the Mobile Spa Truck will be at Tempe Marketplace1 p.m.-8 p.m.
“Nail Files” airs on the TV Guide Network on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
