Alcohol, street racing to blame for 3-car crashPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX – Police say alcohol and street racing are to blame for a bad car wreck in Phoenix Monday night.
It happened at about 10:30 p.m. at Dunlap and 29th avenues.
Investigators say two cars were racing down Dunlap Avenue when they plowed into a car that was making a turn.
Three people who were in the turning car were injured. They were taken to a local hospital. Their conditions were not immediately available.
One of the cars involved in the race fled the scene.
The driver of the other car that had been racing stayed at the crash scene. Police believe that driver was impaired.
