How to accessorize your home: Less is more

PHOENIX -- When it comes to interior design, do you ever wonder what the professionals do in their own homes?

Lynette Beyer is an interior designer. Her home is featured in the July edition of Phoenix Home and Garden Magazine.

Her approach? Less is more!

Beyer proves this with her style featured in every corner of her home.

The dining room showcases a large wall thatch serves as a beautiful back drop for her table, which is adorned by chairs that were once her mother's.  Beyer had them reupholstered to fit the simplicity of her home. The chairs also offer opportunities for great conversation.

The living room also features family heirlooms tucked beautifully into a cabinet which has also been in the family for years. Combined with a few modern oversized chairs and a great painting highlighting her husband's favorite color  -- red -- this offers a very inviting and comfortable environment.

Her kitchen also features paintings hung high. This is a trick she uses to draw the eye upward creating the feel of a much larger space.
