Crews battle blaze in downtown Phoenix at industrial buildingPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX - Crews are battling a fire at recycling plant in downtown Phoenix.
The blaze broke out at about 5 p.m. on Wednesday near 10th Avenue and Madison.
The fire was fully involved and it appears tires and cardboard inside the industrial structure were fueling the flames.
Firefighters quickly responded to the blaze and crews used cherry-pickers to battle the fire. They were able to knock the flames down in about 15 to 20 minutes.
The contents inside the structure have been severely damaged.
It is still unknown what caused the blaze. Nobody was injured.
