Chef Dad's Key Lime Cream Pie
1 Graham Cracker Pie Crust (found in your grocers Baking Goods section)
1/3 Cup Key Lime Juice*
½ Can of Sweetened Condensed Milk
2 8 oz. Tubs of Cool Whip® (found in your grocers' freezer section, thawed)
6 Drops of Green Food Coloring (optional)
In a large bowl, combine your key lime juice, sweetened condensed milk and food coloring then whisk together. Add your Cool Whip then use a spatula to fold and mix together. Pour mixture into your pie shell. Use your spatula to smooth out the top then place into your refrigerator for at least 4 hours and up to overnight before serving.
Cooks Notes: You can buy key limes from the produce section and squeeze the juice yourself or look in the juice isle for a bottle of that juice from the Florida Keys. If you don't use the entire bottle within a week or so, put it in the freezer.
