Indecent exposure suspect sought in Mesa

MESA, Ariz. – The Mesa Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify an indecent exposure suspect.

Detective Michael Melendez said the suspect walks by female victims and tries to get their attention. As soon as the victim looks at him, he lifts his shirt and exposes himself then flees the area on foot.

Police have linked the suspect to six incidents between Feb. 11 and June 5. Five of the incidents occurred at the Indian Springs Village Apartments in the area of Alma School Road and Southern Avenue in Mesa. The other incident occurred near the Souper Salad at Southern Avenue and Longmore Road.

The incidents have occurred between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Melendez said the suspect has not made any attempts to make physical contact with the victims.

The suspect has been described as a white male, 14 to 18 years old, average height and weight, shoulder-length blond hair, with a blue or black cast on his hand. In the last incident, the suspect was described as having short, spiked hair and a pink cast.
