City elections: Green party mayoral candidate announcesPosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- Green party candidate Mary DeCamp wants to be Tucson's next mayor.
She announced she's running outside City Hall Tuesday. Mary DeCamp is the only woman in the 7 person field. She's also the only candidate running under clean elections.
"I thought y not give the greens a primary give those independents out there an opportunity to make a difference in the fall election," said mayoral candidate Mary DeCamp.
Decamp is no stranger to running for political office. She ran against Councilwoman Karin Uhlich in Ward 3 in 2009.
