Autopsy results for Tucson marine killed in SWAT shootingPosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- Autopsy results are in for the Tucson marine killed by the Pima County Sheriff's department SWAT team, during a raid last month.
They show 26-year-old Jose Guerena was struck 22 times, mostly on his arms and legs and had no traces of drugs in his blood at the time of his death.
The body also showed no signs of medical intervention.
The SWAT team fired 71 rounds at Guerena from the doorway of his home, while serving a search warrant.
Guerena was at the end of a hallway holding a rifle when officers began shooting.
