Golf cart driver killed in collision with truck

PHOENIX (AP) -- Officials say a 76-year-old woman has died after the golf cart she was riding in collided with a pickup truck in the retirement community of Sun City West.

The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office says the accident occurred Thursday afternoon at the intersection of R.H. Johnson Boulevard and Trail Ridge Drive.

Maricopa County Sheriff's Office spokesman Chris Hegstrom says Cathleen Morris was driving the truck and was not injured badly injured. Hegstrom says the Morris, 62, refused medical treatment at the scene.

The name of the woman who died has not been released.
