ARIZONA - The Pinal County Sheriff's Office has two suspects in custody related to the a murder in Gold Canyon earlier this week.

On Tuesday morning, PCSO received a 911 call regarding a possible dead body in the desert area near Camino Viejo and Entrada Del Oro, Gold Canyon. The man who called 911 discovered the body during a check of his cattle pens.

The 57-year-old male has injuries consistent with a violent physical struggle prior to him being shot to death.

During their investigation, PCSO developed information that led them to a Phoenix residence near 36th Street and Bell Road. With the assistance of Phoenix police, detectives spoke with Matthew Buron, 30, and Wendy Anderson, 38, who were recently married and had been living with the victim at the Phoenix residence.

Detectives saw blood evidence inside of the garage, so a search warrant was obtained and additional evidence was found indicating the victim was murdered inside of the home.

Buron and Anderson were booked for one count each of First Degree Murder, conspiracy to commit murder, destruction of evidence and unlawful disposal of human remains.

PCSO is still attempting to locate a 1998 white Chevy pickup truck. The license plate is AMY 9487. Detectives believe this truck was used to transport the body from Phoenix to Pinal County where it was dumped.

The victim's identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin. PCSO plans to perform an autopsy on the body.
