Pima County library looking for centenariansPosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- If someone lives to be 100 years old, they've no doubt seen a lot of major changes throughout their lives.
The Pima County Public Library is looking for centenarians to help them celebrate Arizona's centennial.
The library is going to tell stories of residents who have witnessed the transformation of Arizona in the past century.
They need more people who have been around since the early 1900s to come forward.
"Contact us we will send someone out who will interview them, record their stories, transcribe their stories, and then we will post them on the Arizona memory project so everyone can read them," said nancy Ledeboer from the Pima County Library.
If you know anyone of age that lives in Arizona, contact the Pima County Public Library.
They will be working on this project till the centennial, February 14, 2012.
