Memphis head basketball coach, former UA Wildcat Josh Pastner, officially recommending former Wildcat Damon Stoudamire to join his staff as an assistant coach.

It looks like Stoudamire will get the green light, but the hire must be approved by the university and the Board of Regents.

"Mighty Mouse" played for Lute Olson from 1992 to '95, was Pac-10 player of the year and an All-American his senior season and was drafted 7th overall in '95.

Stoudamire was the rookie of the year for the Toronto Raptors.

He retired in 2008 after 13 NBA seasons.
