PHOENIX -- A man who claimed to have an explosive device robbed a bank in Phoenix Wednesday morning.
Phoenix police Sgt. Trent Crump said the suspect walked into the Chase Bank near Bethany Home Road and 19th Avenue shortly after it opened.
The suspect indicated to the teller that he had an explosive device and obtained an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect then fled the bank.
Police officers searched the area but did not locate the suspect.
Police obtained surveillance video and believe the suspect might have been involved in other robberies.
No bomb was located and no one was hurt.
