Fresh, healthy and authentic cuisine at Fresh MintPosted: Updated:
SCOTTSDALE -- Those loyal to Fresh Mint swear by the variety and all of the options for vegans and vegetarians. In fact, almost every item is vegan friendly.
Don't let the casual atmosphere of this Scottsdale eatery fool you. Owner and chef Mai Ly was born to make incredible food. She's from Vietnam and lived in Hawaii for more than 20 years before she and her husband made their way to the Valley. That might be why Fresh Mint feels so authentic.
The menu is extensive and affordable and they are open for both lunch and dinner.
Everybody's taste is different so there are always on some dissenters, but most of the people who have been to Fresh Mint adore it. The restaurant has earned average ratings of four and 4.5 stars on Yelp and Urban Spoon respectively. Both sites run on user reviews.
"The menu items we've tried have all been good to excellent," wrote one patron on Urban Spoon.
"We need one of these on every corner," wrote another. "The food here is delicious. ... The portions are huge so plan to take some home because you have to get dessert."
"If I had to describe this place in one word, that word would be 'awesome," agreed a Yelp contributor who was in town from Houston.
Although it's been around for since 2008, Fresh Mint is featured in the June edition of Phoenix Magazine. The issue is dedicated to summer getaways, but the editors also included some restaurants, like Fresh Mint, with food that will make you feel like you're miles and miles away from home.
Fresh Mint is located at 13802 N. Scottsdale Road, #161, Scottsdale. For more information, call 480-443-2556.
