Tempe bank robber on the run

TEMPE, Ariz. – Police are searching for the man who robbed a Chase bank branch inside a Tempe grocery store.

It happened Sunday afternoon at the Fry’s at Guadalupe Road and McClintock Drive.

Police said the man flashed a gun, demand money and then fled the scene.

No other details about the incident were immediately available.

According to Sgt. Steve Carbajal of the Tempe Police Department, the suspect is a white man about 50 years old. He is 6 feet tall, weighing approximately 200 pounds, and was last seen wearing a red hat and a black shirt.
