Young man stabbed to death overnight, police turning to public for helpPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX – Police in Phoenix are investigating the stabbing death of a 19-year-old man.
Officers were called to the neighborhood of 83rd Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday.
When they arrived on the scene, they discovered a 19-year-old black male who had suffered a life-threatening stab wound.
The young man was taken to a local hospital. Doctors there pronounced him dead shortly after 11 p.m.
While investigators are following up on leads, they have not yet identified a suspect or determined a motive.
Police will not release the victim’s name until they can talk to his next of kin.
