TUCSON, Ariz. -- A woman trapped in her vehicle after an early morning wreck on I-10, was rescued and is currently in serious condition.
The 24-year-old woman was driving a Nissan Versa on the interstate near Orange Grove.
She hit the back of a semi truck. She had to be cut from the vehicle and had surgery for internal injuries.
And another wreck at about noon Thursday on I-10 involved a pickup heading eastbound past the Prince Road exit when it blew a tire. The truck then hit the center median and rolled over.
The driver was scratched up from the work supplies flying around during the crash but he walked away and didn't need an ambulance.
And southbound Park Avenue at Ajo will be closed to through traffic until 6 A.M. Monday while sewer repair work is done.
Drivers will be able to turn right onto Ajo but are being asked to use 6th Avenue or Benson Highway instead.
Traffic delays should be expected.
