Last weekend before triple-digit temps set inPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX - Enjoy this coming weekend across Arizona.
Even though temperatures are warming up from Tuesday and Wednesday’s really cool stuff, we’ll still be below normal.
Highs in the deserts are expected to be in the low 90s and in the mountains, look for highs in the 60s and 70s.
Sweet but that’s it.
So far this month, we’ve been nearly 4 degrees cooler than normal. Average highs are at 90 degrees. We should be averaging 94 and average lows are at 65 degrees.
We should be seeing lows averaging 67 degrees so we’re building up this cooler than normal month for the big news.
Triple-digit highs will set in by next weekend, Memorial Day weekend oddly enough, and this time the100s aren’t going away for a while, say October or late September.
By next Thursday we should see highs in the Valley right around 100 degrees but getting warmer through the holiday weekend.
It’s also looking like a dry weekend statewide so if you’re headed to the high country, you’ll be in great shape.
Mountain temperatures on Memorial Day weekend will be running in the 70s and 80s, depending on your elevation.
