2 Men sought after armed robbery at Mesa smoke shop

MESA, Ariz. – Police are looking for two men who robbed a smoke shop in Mesa on Wednesday night.

The two suspects went inside a smoke shop located on the 800 block of east Southern pretending to be customers as they spoke to an employee.

Officers say one of the suspects pulled up his shirt to expose a silver semi-automatic handgun. There were reportedly no words exchanged after this and the suspect reached across the counter and stole five cans of “potpourri” valued at $30 each.

The suspects fled the store and an employee was able to see them getting into a 2002 to 2004-model silver Grand Prix. The driver was last seen heading east on Southern.

The suspect who produced the gun and stole the items is described as a Hispanic male about 28 years old with black hair and brown eyes. He is about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds.

He was last seen wearing tan shorts with long socks and a white shirt. The suspect also has three dot tattoos under his right eye and a solid square tattoo under his left eye as well as the letter ME tattooed on his left forearm.

The second suspect is also described as a male Hispanic about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 130 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes but there is no clothing description available.
