PCSD statement on SWAT shooting info freeze

TUCSON, Ariz. -- The Pima County Sheriff's Department issued a statement Wednesday explaining why there's no new information coming out in the case of the Iraq war veteran killed in a SWAT raid.

Jose Guerena was shot 60 times while holding an assault rifle with the safety on.

PCSD explains the investigation leading to the raid is very complicated with multiple suspects, and there is a threat to innocent lives if details are released prematurely.

The department says it will release more information when the investigation is complete.

Guerena's widow claims the SWAT team did not identify itself when entering the home, and they thought it was a home invasion.
