Unseasonably cool (and spectacular) today

PHOENIX -- Today's weather in the Valley will be nothing short of spectacular.  Average highs are near 95 this time of year with triple-digit heat already in full-effect some years.

We've already seen triple-digit highs several times this spring. Today, however, you can expect a second afternoon in a row of afternoon highs in the 70s.  Unlike yesterday, though, we won't have strong winds or rain showers, but mostly sunny skies.  T

here is still a chance for rain and light snow in the high country on the back side of the exiting low pressure system.  A thunderstorm isn't out of the question up north either, with small hail a possibility.

Once this large storm system moves out of our region, temperatures will slowly warm back to the mid-80s in the Valley tomorrow and low 90s over the weekend.
