PHOENIX -- A spring storm brings windy and cooler weather to the state today and tomorrow.
Valley winds could reach sustained speeds of 15 to 25 mph today, becoming even stronger tomorrow. Southwesterly winds tomorrow are expected to become sustained at 20 to 30 mph in the Valley, with blowing dust becoming a possibility. Rain chances are only at about 20 percent.
Afternoon highs will top out in the upper 70s and low 80s.
There's a better chance of rain in the high country, even a slight chance of thunderstorms.
Wednesday evening holds the best chances for rain across the state, and also the strongest winds.
In the Valley, winds could become sustained at up to 35 mph. Winds should start to calm down Thursday, but temperatures will be slow to warm back up.
Eventually, we'll be back in the low 90s by the weekend.
