Rooftop Tee Off a success for Make-A-Wish FoundationPosted: Updated:
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - It was a day of teeing off –four stories high! Event Services of America put on a very unique event to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The "Rooftop Tee Off" took place at the Event Services of America office building just off of Scottsdale road and the 101 at Paradise Lane -- on the Westin Keirland Resort’s golf course.
It started just before 7 a.m. Friday and about 50 people participated, including former Phoenix Suns player Tom Chambers. There was no hole in one, but someone came really close, only 32 inches from the target!
The event wrapped up around 10 a.m., raising more than $3,000 for Make-A-Wish.
Event Services of America is helping to put on the 15th annual Wish Ball this year, happening at Westin Keirland Resort, Saturday, May 14, which will be hosted by Good Morning Arizona’s Tara Hitchcock, Kaley O’Kelly and Scott Passmore.
Go Daddy®'s Bob and Renee Parsons are this year’s Honorary Chairs and Go Daddy® is this year’s Title Sponsor of Wish Ball 2011. Organizers are hoping you can join them for what they say will be an unforgettable evening and will help the Foundation with it’s goal of granting 300 wishes to Arizona children with life-threatening medical conditions.
