Cinco de Mayo celebrations under way at Dos Gringos around the ValleyPosted: Updated:
TEMP, Ariz. -- Cinco de Mayo celebrations are already well under way at Dos Gringos all around the Valley!
The doors opened at 11 a.m., and these parties have something for everyone, including a mechanical bull, a dunk tank, and literally hundreds of cases of beer and loads of liquor for the steady flow of margaritas that will be happening until the wee hours of the morning.
Dos Gringos has hosted Cinco De Mayo celebrations for the last 15 years, which is why it’s dubbed “Arizona’s Original Cinco de Mayo Party." This year, they are expecting upwards of 2,500 people at each location.
All four Dos Gringos will be throwing parties until 2 a.m.
There will be a mix of live bands, including Grain of Truth, Carvin Jones and Money Shot at the Tempe restaurant.
Parties at each location will have a DJ spinning tunes, drink specials, prizes, games, giveaways and $3 tacos.
The day starts with a $5 cover charge. Part of those proceeds will benefit the child dental program at CARE Partnership. CARE provides a safety net - without compromising dignity - for people who struggle to survive while making difficult choices between hunger, housing, health, child care and other basic needs.
There are Dos Gringos locations in Mesa, South Tempe, Chandler, and Old Town Scottsdale. For more information, visit www.dosgringosaz.com.
