More vetoes in 2011 for Gov. BrewerPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX, Ariz. -- A big jump in vetoes this year for Arizona Governor Jan Brewer.
The 2011 legislative session wrapped up Monday with Brewer having rejected a total of 29 bills, 15 more than last year.
Notable vetos included a proposal permitting guns into most government buildings and the so-called "Birther Bill."
Brewer signed more than 350 bills, including one authorizing a new fence along the U.S.-Mexico border.
Still, legislators could return to the capitol for a special session to go over re-tooled versions of many vetoed bills.
The governor is talking about calling for one in the fall or sooner.
Topics could include the state budget and a proposal to make it easier to fire government workers.
