Wrightstown future discussedPosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- There was a meeting Monday night on the east side to discuss the future use of Wrightstown Elementary School.
It is one of several schools closed last year by Tucson Unified School District to save money.
Community members brought some ideas to the table.
"I would like to see the University, or Pima Community College, or any other of the colleges, take that building over and use it as a satellite facility," said Wrightstown neighbor Barbara McCoy.
Similar meetings have been held at all the schools closed last year except for Richey, which is working with the Pascua Yaqui tribe.
