One brother killed, another injured in Phoenix shootingPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX - Phoenix police are looking for three suspects in a homicide involving two brothers.
The shooting happened near 17th Avenue and Ocotillo Road around 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
According to police, two brothers arrived at an apartment complex and were approached by three suspects.
The three black males robbed the brothers of personal items including their vehicle. During the robbery an altercation ensued and shots were fired.
One of the brothers, identified as Damien Mitchell, 34, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital.
The other brother, identified as Danny Mitchell, 29, died from his wounds.
The suspects fled the scene in the victim's vehicle which was located at short time later.
The shooting remains under investigation.
According to police, the only description provided of the suspects is three black males between 20 and 30 years of age.
