Serial robber in police custodyPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX - A suspected serial robber is in custody after a robbery in north Phoenix, but police think he knocked off at least fourteen different places in the past two weeks.
Phoenix police were able to apprehend the suspect at a 7-11 near 62nd Street and Bell Road.
Detectives say the man had become more aggressive in the past few days hitting businesses as often as two and three times a day.
The suspect was typically robbing gas stations and convenience stores during his crime spree.
He's been dubbed the PS Bandit because he would leave sarcastic notes after robbing a place.
His name or his photo have not been released because police are doing photo line-ups to link the suspect to other robberies.
Police say they plan to wait until their investigation is complete before releasing the suspect’s identity and the exact locations he robbed.
