3 Easy Recipes using Shirley J Universal Sauce

Pasta alfredo

Ingredients:
½ c. Universal Sauce
2 c. water
¼ c. grated Parmesan cheese
cooked chicken and/or vegetables (optional)

Directions:
Combine contents of Universal Sauce singles packet (1/2 c.) with 2 cups water, stir and bring to a boil. Simmer after boiling, on medium heat for 5 minutes. Add ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese and stir thoroughly. Simmer for 5 minutes and serve over fettuccine, or other cooked pasta. Add cooked chicken or vegetables as desired.

 

Old Fashioned Sausage Gravy with Biscuits

Ingredients:
½ c. Universal Sauce
½ lb. country-style sausage
2 c. water
Shirley J Biscuits (prepared)

Directions:
Cook and crumble sausage in skillet, drain. Mix 2 cups water with Universal Sauce. Combine Universal Sauce mixture with sausage and bring to a boil. Simmer for five minutes. Serve over Shirley J Biscuits. Also delicious served over toast, rice or whipped potatoes.


Broccoli and Cheddar Soup

Ingredients:
½ c. Universal Sauce
2 c. water
½ c. broccoli florets (fresh or frozen, thawed)
1 c. grated cheddar cheese

Directions:
Combine contents of Universal Sauce with 2 cups water in saucepan and stir. Bring to a boil and simmer 10 minutes. Add broccoli florets and cheddar cheese and stir to combine. Serve as a delicious soup, or as a topping on baked potatoes.
