Carlos Rivera, Interim Santa Cruz County Manager, says agreements were signed last year between Arizona State Parks, Santa Cruz County Supervisors, and the Tubac Historical Society to keep the Tubac Presidio Park open to the public. He says under a unique arrangement, the State entered into an intergovernmental agreement with Santa Cruz County to assume responsibility for maintaining and operating the Park.  He says the County then arranged to have volunteers from the Historical Society handle that. He says that arrangement is expected to continue this year.
