ASU alum Isaiah Mustafa -- 'Madeas Big Happy Family'

Posted: Updated:

PHOENIX -- You might know Isaiah Mustafa as the Old Spice guy. Maybe you know him as a wide receiver for the Arizona State University Sun Devils. Perhaps you've seen his work as a character actor on one of several TV shows like "Chuck," "Castle," "NCIS: Los Angeles," "Eli Stone," or Ugly Betty."

Mustafa is making the jump to the big screen, so after today you'll know him as Calvin in Tyler Perry's new film, "Madea’s Big Happy Family."

The actor checked with Tara Hitchcock via satellite, and much to the dismay of the women of 3TV, he kept his shirt on the entire time.

"We don't have the weather [in New York] that you're have there in Phoenix," Mustafa said.

While Mustafa did talk about his new movie, he kept steering the conversation back to ASU.

"I'm a Sun Devil tried and true," he said. "I love my Sun Devils. I'm definitely going to pump it up."

He's even seen ASU's new football uniforms.

"I'm jealous! I wish we had them when I was there," he said. "Those are amazing! I like them a lot."

Mustafa's next movie, "Horrible Bosses," stars his crush, Jennifer Anniston. Unfortunately, he never got to actually meet the actress because they didn't have any scenes together.

"Madea’s Big Happy Family" opens today in theaters.
