And 21-year-old Padre infielder Anthony Rizzo is a role model for a very important reason well beyond baseball. He is a cancer survivor, diagnosed as a teen with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, but he overcame.
He's been thrilled to play baseball day in the days since he learned he was cancer free and he does his very best to embrace others, to give hope and encouragement, something he wants to do while he is in Tucson.
