SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - A brutal assault outside a Scottsdale nightclub has a Valley man fighting for his life and police searching for the man responsible.

The 62-year-old victim was out enjoying an evening with his fiancee at the hip new Scottsdale club Narcisse in the Scottsdale Quarter.

Police were told the suspect began to make rude and physical advances toward the fiancee.

According to an owner of Narcisse, the victim is a regular and friend of one of the owners, so he asked to have the man escorted out.

The suspect was willing to leave, but obviously not willing to let the incident go.

He supposedly sat outside, downstairs, at the Scottsdale Quarter and waited for the victim to leave the club.

About 12:45 a.m. Friday, the victim made his way down the escalator with his fiancee. That’s when the suspect allegedly attacked the victim, beating him repeatedly.

On Facebook, a family friend described what happened next.

"He was brutally hit ‘blindly’ on the left side of his face and was then pushed backwards directly to the cement landing on the most sensitive part of his head/neck area," the post said.

The 62-year-old was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A family member told 3TV the victim has already undergone four surgeries, including at least two brain surgeries.

The suspect is still outstanding and police are asking for the public's help to identify him.

A picture was taken as he took off from the scene of the beating.

He is described as a white male in his 20s or 30s, approximatley 170 to 180 pounds and about 5 feet 10 inches.

Police would like to talk to the other person in the picture as well.
