Scottsdale police looking to public to identify assault suspect

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - The Scottsdale Police Department is asking the public for help in locating a male suspect in an early morning assault.

Around 12:45 a.m. on Friday at the Narcisse Champagne and Tea Lounge in the Scottsdale Quarter the suspect got into a verbal altercation with the victim.

When the victim's fiance returned from getting help from bar personnel, the victim has sustained head injuries and was unconscious.

According to police, about 15 minutes prior to the assault the suspect and a group of friends were asked to leave the bar for disruptive behavior.

Apparently the victim and his fiance were at the bar, when the suspect made unwelcomed advances toward the fiance.

The victim, 62, was transported to SHC-Osborn with life-threatening head injuries, where he remains in serious condition.

The suspect is described as a white male, late 20s to early 30s, 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 11 inches, average build and medium weight of about 170 to 180 pounds. He had short brown or black hair and clean cut.

The Scottsdale Police Department is asking for help from anyone who may have seen or knows anything about the confrontation which happened in the common area between True Foods Café and the escalators leading up to the bar and theater at Scottsdale Quarter.
