Tucson Special Education students get boost at Manning House eventPosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- Over 200 special education students got some encouragement for the future Thursday morning at the Manning House.
The Community Transition Team gave students some motivation to finish school and learn about different opportunites for them once the graduate.
"Explaning the next step is crucial, it's actually federally mandated that kids with special needs are exposed to life beyond high school," said Debbie Edwards from the Community Transition Team.
The conference started out a few years ago as a partnership between the Vail and Sunnyside School Districts.
Now it includes almost all of the districts around town.
