Tucson crime report: Sexual predator suspect; Victim ID; New homicide mugshot; Desert View lockdown; Volleyball coach sentenced

TUCSON, Ariz. -- The man Tucson police call a sexual predator has been found.

A 43-year-old man is wanted in a sexual assault and several other instances of making aggressive sexual advances toward women.

He has been arrested on charges of kidnapping and sexual assault, but police haven't released his name.

TUCSON, Ariz. -- There was a shooting late Friday night on South Fontana Avenue.

Cesar Arturo Tavarez-Acedo, 39, was shot to death.

Police know who they're looking for 37-year-old Jesus Martinez-Verdugo.

They haven't found him yet but have an arrest warrant for first degree murder.

TUCSON, Ariz. -- A mugshot has been released of the suspect in the death of 7-year-old Johnathan Federico, Alvin Valenzuela.

A previously released picture was an older photo from an arrest in New Mexico.

TUCSON, Ariz. -- Desert view high school was locked down Thursday afternoon.

A robbery suspect was seen in the area, prompting Tucson police to secure the school.

He was detained late Thursday afternoon, but details of his crimes and identity have yet to be released.

TUCSON, Ariz. -- A former assistant volleyball coach at desert sky middle school is sentenced to three years probation after pleading guilty to sexual assault of a minor.

Iman Hamdan, 21, admitted to inappropriately touching a 15-year-old boy last year.

The teenager was not a member of the team and did not attend the school.

Hamdan is no longer employed with the district.
