CHANDLER, Ariz. – Chandler police released a new jailhouse phone conversations between Maricopa County Supervisor Fulton Brock and his wife, Susan, who is serving a sentence for allegedly sexually abusing a teen family friend.

During the phone call, the Brocks discuss the possibility of seeking a pardon from Gov. Jan Brewer.

During the phone call, Fulton Brock says, "I ran into the governor today." Susan Brock asks, "Jan?"
Fulton Brock says, "Yeah. I had lunch today in Durant's as a guest of a vendor of the county." Susan then asks, “Yeah, what did Jan say?”

Fulton Brock replies, "Gov. Brewer was with three other ladies. She was with her chief of staff. They were all having a good time and I shook her hand, and I said, 'I just wanted to say hello and thank you.' She called me twice, and I said [her calls] meant a lot to me. I just shook her hand, smiled, and started to walk away. She said, 'We need to have lunch.’”

Susan Brock then says, "Well you need to have lunch with her. Wow. That's great."

Fulton Brock says, "She has the power to pardon” and Susan Brock adds, "I'm gonna need it” before she laughs.

It is not clear when the phone call took place or whether Mr. Brock ever had lunch with the governor.
