Tucson headlines: Water rate hike; Hotel bankruptcy; Gas leak

TUCSON, Ariz. -- A public hearing is in the works over a hike in Tucson Water Rates.

The city council last night decided to send the proposed 30% hike over the next four years, back to the public before they make a final decision.

That is set to happen May 24.


TUCSON, Ariz. -- A major Tucson hotel is headed for bankruptcy.  The Doubletree Hotel at Reid Park is facing forclosure.  The hotel is late on $31 million in loans and will restructure its debt.

Tucson Fire and Southwest Gas responded and has everything under control shortly after.
