Mild Thursday, 90s forecast for the weekendPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- A windy Wednesday gives way to a mild Thursday.
Yesterday's cold front is moving away from Arizona, and winds will calm down as a result. Already, winds were down to between 10 and 15 mph across Arizona Thursday morning.
Wednesday, parts of the high country were under a red flag warning and a wind advisory for winds between 25 and 35 mph.
The dry end of the storm is moving east today, and cooler air moving in behind the front will keep afternoon highs mild today. The Valley will top out near 83 degrees.
Tomorrow, we jump back to about 90 degrees, and the weekend looks to be even warmer. Mid-90s are in the forecast for both Saturday and Sunday, but the 80s return for next week.
