RENO, Nev. (AP) -- The Arizona Diamondbacks' bench has a backup of its own of sorts at Triple-A Reno where two-thirds of the Aces' opening day roster already has major league experience.

That includes seven of eight starting position players, such as Tony Abreu, Brandon Allen, John Hester and Cole Gillespie.

Third-year manager Brett Butler says the veteran leadership is one of the reasons he expects this to be his best Reno team. He says all he has to do is buy the ink and fill out the lineup card. He says his team full of professionals know how to discipline themselves and know how to play the game the right way.

The Aces host the Nevada Wolf Pack in an exhibition Tuesday night and open the season Thursday at Salt Lake City.
