Budget cuts endanger Arizona Poison hotline

Posted: Updated:

TUCSON, Ariz. -- The Arizona Poison Hotline could soon fall victim to federal lawmakers trying to make a massive budget cut.

The hotline answers questions about radiation exposure, drug interactions and snake bites, to name a few.

The poison and drug information center has had to deal with cuts before, but these latest proposed cuts would make it even more difficult for them.

The University of Arizona College of Pharmacy houses the poison hotline which serves all of Arizona, except for Maricopa county.
