Little Tails: Adorable Tsuki needs good home after tough roadPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX – Looking for a great dog that would give you loving companionship? Meet Tsuki.
She is a 9-year-old Shiba Inu who's got quite a little tale to tell.
Tsuki was rescued by the Arizona Humane Society last November. She was one of 30 dogs and three cats removed from a home found in deplorable conditions.
“They were all in cages, one stacked on another and according to neighbors they would go all day without food, water,” Carrie Singer, with the Animal Guardian Network, said.
For several months Carrie has been nursing Tsuki back to health and finally she is better and looking for a new place to call home.
The perfect place would be a home with no children or cats. Tsuki would also like to bring her best friends Tuli and Keiko. They were also rescued with Tsuki and are inseparable.
Shibas are an ancient line of Japanese dogs. Tsuki means “moon” in Japanese which fits her perfectly because Tsuki will often howl at the moon. Howling is common in Shibas and here are a few other tips you may want to know:
-Shiba Inus have a coat that is naturally waterproof so there is really little need for regular bathing.
-Grooming will also be minimal because of their short hair. They are goof-natured, independent and intelligent dogs.
Tsuki has all these traits as well as a playful side. She loves her toys and will play with pretty much anything she can get her paws on.
