PCSD shooting update; Border agents shooting

TUCSON, Ariz. -- Monday, the Pima County Sheriff's Department confirmed that Deputy Jason Rockwell shot and killed 44-year-old James Runyon outside a home near Orange Grove Road and Camino de La Tierra.

An eleven year PCSD veteran, Rockwell fired a single shot at Runyon who died later in the hospital.

DOUGLAS, Ariz. -- There have been new developments in a case involving a 19-year-old shot and killed by a Border Patrol agent last week along the border fence near Douglas.

Carlos La Madrid was shot three times while climbing a ladder to escape agents who found 48 pounds of marijuana in the truck he was driving.

Monday Cochise County sheriff's deputies arrested 17-year-old Jesus Chino, La Madrid's suspected passenger.

He's charged with three drug offenses, all felonies.
