Scottsdale motorcyclist killed in crash with SUV

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- A Scottsdale man died after he was hit by an SUV while riding his motorcycle Monday afternoon.

Allan Wynn, 64, was riding his 2007 Honda Goldwing motorcycle northbound on Scottsdale Road near Grayhawk Drive at approximately 4:30 p.m.

According to the Scottsdale Police Department, a Mercury SUV driven by a 71-year-old Scottsdale woman was turning left and failed to yield to Wynn.

The two vehicles collided and Wynn was thrown from his motorcycle. He reportedly was not wearing a helmet.

Wynn sustained fatal injuries and was airlifted to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Impairment is not suspected in the collision.
