Giffords office and Pima County Library present Solar Power 101Posted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords' office and the Pima County Public Library joined together Thursday night, teaching Tucsonans how to save energy and reduce pollution.
"Solar Power 101" is a community education series on solar energy now in its fourth year.
At Thursday night's forum, Environment Arizona released a new report. It shows that using more cost effective solar hot water systems can reduce arizona's fossil fuel and electricity consumption.
"It's just a really fascinating subject for us. It's something the congresswoman has always been really passionate about and that the community's really interested in,"
The series also featured represenatives from expert solar systems, and the City of Tucson.
