PHOENIX (AP) -- An Avondale man accused of tattooing a teenage girl for sex has pleaded guilty to attempted child prostitution.

Maricopa County prosecutors say Juan Lara Jr. also pleaded guilty Friday to two counts of unlawful tattooing.

The 38-year-old Lara is scheduled to be sentenced April 19.

Avondale police arrested Lara last April after he allegedly tattooed two 16-year-old girls, one in exchange for sex.

Lara originally faced charges of sexual conduct with a minor, child prostitution, attempted child prostitution and unlawful tattooing.
