PHOENIX - A volunteer coach at a Phoenix elementary school is facing charges of sexual conduct with a minor.
On March 10, the Phoenix Police Department began an investigation into Julian Titcomb, 21, after the parents of a 14-year-old girl became aware of the relationship between their daughter and Titcomb and notified police.
Titcomb was a volunteer coach at St. Catherine's Elementary School and coached basketball last year where he met the victim.
Police allege Titcomb located the victim online in December and began a relationship with her. Police believe the relationship turned sexual in February.
The victim admitted to her father that they were having a sexual relationship during the month of February.
On Wednesday, detectives from the Family Investigation Bureau arrested Titcomb.
He reportedly admitted the relationship and his involvement in the crime.
Titcomb was booked on eight counts of sexual conduct with a minor.
