GLOBE, Ariz. - According to a family member, the Gila County Sheriff's Office located a missing Boy Scout in an area north of Globe.

The Associated Press is reporting a helicopter crew searching the area located Kevis Seymore, 14. He is in good condition and has been reunited with his parents.

According to UnderSheriff Adam Shepherd, a Boy Scout leader reported the missing teen just after 8 p.m. Thursday.

Kevis, of Queen Creek, was with the Scouts on a planned gathering at Timber Camp.

Shepherd had no idea how many Scouts were there on the trip.

The leader teamed the boys up to go out to play Capture the Flag when only one of the boys in the pair came back to camp.

The command post for search and rescue was located 25 miles to the east and north of Globe toward the Salt River Canyon near Highway 60.

The terrain is thick pine trees and high altitude between Globe and Show Low.

The Department of Public Safety helicopter went up Thursday evening to assist with the search and headed up again Friday morning.

3TV has a crew headed to the area and will update this story as more information becomes available.
