Tucson man driving to Pennsylvania to retrieve angel for Green familyPosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- A Tucson man is on his way to Pennsylvania to pick up an angel that will be part of a dedication to Christina-Taylor Green next month.
Bob Caprari will be traveling more than 2100 miles to pick up a Freedom's Steadfast Angel.
The angel is the work of artist Lei Hennessy-Owen. Caprari volunteered to take the drive and feels that it's an honor to do this for the green family.
"I think it's a great idea for the green family to have something like this and I just felt that this was a way that I could give my respect to the family," said Capari.
The goal for Caprari is to back in town on April 1. That's when the town of Oro Valley will dedicate a field in honor of Green and unveil the angel.
Green was the 9-year-old girl that was shot at the Gabrielle Giffords event on January 8.
