PHOENIX – Two people are in jail and a bouncer is in the hospital after an overnight shooting at a Phoenix strip club.

It happened at about 12:30 a.m. Friday at Teasers Cabaret and Patio, which is located at 33rd and Grand avenues.

According to police, a man and a woman who were trying to enter the club were told by the bouncer that they were inappropriately dressed. The bouncer then asked the pair to leave.

Out in the parking lot, the man and woman reportedly began screaming and causing a scene. At some point during the ruckus, shots were fired.

The bouncer was hit at least twice. He was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital. His wounds reportedly were not life-threatening.

The man and woman jumped into a car and fled the scene. The Phoenix police helicopter spotted the car and was able to lead officers on the ground to it.

Detectives detained the pair and were questioning them about the shooting.

Investigators have not released the names of anybody involved in the shooting.

No other injuries were reported.
